We are deeply disturbed with the senseless death of George Floyd in the hands of a police officer in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As Muslims, we always live our life according to the Quran.\u00a0 In the heart of Muslims, there is no room for racism.\u00a0Allah tells us that the diversity of life is a sign of Allah\u2019s majesty, and for us to learn about\u00a0humility,\u00a0equality, and the appreciation of differences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We recognize that various types of racism can be found in our community. We committed to educate, train and dialogue with the other organizations to combat racism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We also condemn all forms of police brutality throughout the United States and the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Indonesian Muslim Foundation prays for all the victims of police brutality. We are in solidarity and support of our brothers and sisters in the African American community. Our condolences to our brothers and sisters in the African American community who lost their friends and families of the innocent victims of police brutality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
